Billsheaf Privacy Policy

Effective: October 19, 2026. Publisher: Front Porch Puzzle Press ("we"). This policy covers the Billsheaf app for Wix stores.

Billsheaf turns a Wix store's orders into PDF invoices, packing slips and credit notes. A store owner ("merchant") installs it from the Wix App Market. Billsheaf runs entirely on Wix: its code is hosted by Wix, its data is kept in the merchant's own Wix site, and we operate no server, database or analytics of our own. We process data only on the merchant's behalf and only to run the app.

What Billsheaf reads

  • Orders: order numbers and dates, items, prices, discounts, shipping, fees, tax, payment status, refunds, and the billing and shipping details on the order (name, company, address, email, phone), because these print on the invoice.
  • App plan: whether the site is on the Free or Pro plan.

What Billsheaf stores, and where

  • Document records in a collection on the merchant's own site: for each invoice or credit note, its number, the order ID and number, the refund ID, the date issued, the currency and the total. No customer names, addresses or emails are stored.
  • The merchant's template: business details, logo, colours, wording, numbering and automation choices, in a second collection on the same site.
  • PDFs are built in the merchant's browser when downloaded and are not stored by Billsheaf.
  • Optional customer email: only if the merchant turns it on, the invoice PDF for a paid order is saved in the site's Media Manager (folder "Billsheaf invoices") and a link to it is sent to the customer through the store's own Wix Automations. The link is public but hard to guess, like other files in a Wix Media Manager; the merchant can delete these files at any time.

What we never do

We don't sell, share or rent data, show ads, track visitors, build profiles, or use data to train AI or machine-learning models. We don't receive the merchant's or customers' data: it stays inside Wix.

Who processes the data

  • Wix.com, which hosts the store, the app's code and the collections above, under Wix's own privacy terms with the merchant.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Only the site's owner and the collaborators the merchant allows can read the app's collections.

Retention and deletion

  • Document records and the template stay on the merchant's site so that numbers never repeat and old invoices can be downloaded again. The merchant can view or delete them in the site's CMS at any time, including after uninstalling Billsheaf. Deleting document records means Billsheaf can no longer guarantee that a deleted number won't be reused.
  • Customer data is not copied out of the order, so a customer's erasure request is handled by the merchant in Wix (the order itself), plus any PDFs in the "Billsheaf invoices" Media Manager folder.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data. Customers of a store should contact that store, which controls its order data; we will help the store respond. Merchants can contact us directly.

Children

Billsheaf is a business tool for store owners and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes and contact

We will post any changes on this page with a new effective date. Questions or requests: hello@frontporchpuzzlepress.com.
