Privacy Policy
Front Porch Puzzle Press is a small independent press in West Haven, Connecticut. This page explains what this website collects, why, and the choices you have. Last updated October 24, 2026.
The short version
- You can read every page and download every free puzzle and hometown trivia kit without giving us anything.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies. You can turn it off below.
- If you join our email list, we keep your email address (and first name, if you give it) to send you puzzles.
- We never sell or share your personal information, and the site shows no ads.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to count page views, see which pages and links people
use, and learn roughly where visitors come from (for example, a search engine or an email). Google Analytics sets
first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) and receives your IP address, browser and
device type. Google does not give us your name or contact details. Advertising features and ad personalization are
turned off. Read how Google uses
information from sites that use its services.
Your choices:
- Turn it off here. The button below switches analytics off in this browser (it stores a single setting in your browser, not a cookie).
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics never loads for you.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland: analytics runs without cookies by default.
- Google’s opt-out add-on blocks Google Analytics on every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Turn on JavaScript to change this setting.
We also count clicks on store links and free downloads with our own small counter. It records the page, the link and the time. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address or browser details.
The free daily puzzle saves your progress and streak in your own browser (local storage). That information never leaves your device. The version of the daily puzzle that libraries and senior centers embed on their own websites has no analytics at all.
Email list
If you sign up for the free puzzle pack, we collect your email address and, if you choose, your first name. We use them only to send the pack and about one email a month with new puzzles and news from the press. Our email service, MailerLite, stores the list and sends the emails for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us to be removed.
If you write to us at hello@frontporchpuzzlepress.com, we keep the conversation so we can answer you.
Purchases and other stores
When you buy a digital download directly from this site, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address and what you ordered so we can deliver it and answer questions; we never see your card number.
Most of our books and products are sold by other companies: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Etsy, Gumroad and Zazzle. When you follow a link to one of them, its own privacy policy applies to what happens there. Zazzle products are our own designs, printed and sold by Zazzle, and we earn a royalty when one sells.
Some Amazon links are paid links. As an Amazon Associate, Front Porch Puzzle Press earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon may use cookies to tell that a purchase came from one of our links. It does not tell us who you are or what you bought.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, and keeps short-lived technical logs.
Children
Some of our books are for children, but this website is meant for adults: parents, grandparents, teachers and activity directors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (in practice, an email list entry or an email conversation). Write to hello@frontporchpuzzlepress.com and we will answer within 30 days. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
