Filling an activity calendar every month takes hours: themes to pick, puzzles to find, trivia to check, and everything has to be big enough to read. Each of our monthly activity packets does that work for one month. You get a director's page with a suggested 4-week calendar built around the month's holidays, then 20 more pages ready to print and lead.
What's in every monthly packet
- A 4-week activity calendar with themes and holiday dates for the month
- Three themed word searches with 13 x 13 grids, big letters, and no backwards words
- A crossword with its clues on a separate page, a word scramble with hints, and an easy sudoku
- "Finish the Saying": 12 old-time sayings to read aloud, a favorite in memory care
- A 20-question Trivia Hour, with every answer checked against published sources
- Conversation cards, a group cut-out activity, a coloring page, and full answer keys
Every letter is 16 point or larger, set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for low-vision readers. The pages print well in black and white, and you may photocopy them for every resident in your building.
Pick your months
Single months are $7.99: November (Thanksgiving, Veterans Day), December (Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's Eve), January (New Year's, Martin Luther King Jr. Day), February (Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day) and March (St. Patrick's Day, first day of spring). The bundles save more: the holiday bundle (November and December, $13.99), the winter bundle (January to March, $19.99) and the 5-month bundle (November to March, $29.99).
Easy editions for memory care
Each month also comes in an Easy edition ($6.99) for memory care: 9 x 9 word searches with words only across and down, word banks, two-choice trivia and even bigger print. Start with the easy December packet.
Plan ahead
Most activity directors post next month's calendar 3 to 5 weeks early, so each packet is ready well before its month begins. For free extras, see free large print puzzles by month, and our planning guides below.
