Shadequill Terms of Service

1. The service

Shadequill is a Google Sheets™ add-on that calculates by cell colour. SUMBYCOLOR, COUNTBYCOLOR, CELLCOLOR and FONTCOLOR, the fill-colour scan with count and sum, and Refresh are free. Shadequill Pro is a one-time purchase through Gumroad that adds the other functions (average, minimum, maximum and COUNTIF by colour, every function by text colour, VALUESBYCOLOR), conditional-formatting colours for the rule types Shadequill can evaluate, scanning by text colour with all statistics, and the summary table. Pro has no subscription and does not expire.

2. Your spreadsheets

Shadequill writes to your spreadsheet only when you ask: a formula you insert, a summary table you paste, and a counter cell on a hidden sheet named "Shadequill". When you click Refresh it also adds the argument ShadequillRefresh to Shadequill formulas you typed yourself, so they can be refreshed. Google Sheets™ keeps version history (File > Version history) and Edit > Undo reverses most changes.

3. How results update

Google Sheets™ recalculates add-on formulas when the values they use change, but not when only a colour changes. After recolouring cells, click Refresh. Colours shown by conditional formatting are used only when you turn that option on (Pro), and only for rules that test numbers, text or empty cells; rules with custom formulas or dates, and colour scales, are not evaluated. Check important totals before relying on them.

4. Payment and refunds

Gumroad handles payment. If Pro doesn't work for you, ask for a refund within 30 days and you will get it. A refunded, charged-back or disputed purchase ends Pro access on your account. Please don't share or publish your license key.

5. No warranty; limit of liability

Shadequill is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Shadequill.

6. Changes

We may update these terms and will post changes on this page. Continuing to use Shadequill after a change means you accept it. Features you already bought stay included.
