Blended Family Tree

Most family tree templates have room for one mom, one dad and their children. A blended family tree shows every marriage and partnership, current, divorced or ended by death, with each family's children hanging from their own parents' line, so anyone can see who belongs to whom.

Type your family into the included Blended Family Tree Maker and it lays out the whole chart and sizes it to fit the page: birth, adopted, step and foster children, and the half- and step-siblings that come with them. It runs offline in any web browser and nothing is uploaded. Or print a blank chart and write it by hand.

Details

• Up to about 20 people fit any size; more than about 30 need 11x17 or A3 and up
• A line key on the chart: married, partners, divorced, birth, adopted, stepchild and foster child
• Accented names are fine; the Maker is easiest on a laptop or desktop
