Chimelark Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026. Covers the Chimelark browser extension and the Chimelark add-on for Google Slides™.

Chimelark turns timer tags such as <<5:00->> into live timers while you present in Google Slides. It is made by Front Porch Puzzle Press. It has no servers and no user accounts.

What the extension reads

The extension runs only on Google Slides pages (docs.google.com/presentation). While you present, it reads the text of the slide on screen and that slide's speaker notes, in your browser, to find timer tags. Nothing it reads is stored, logged or sent anywhere.

It does not ask for your browsing history, your open tabs, your email address or your Google sign-in.

What the add-on reads

The Slides add-on only works in the presentation where you open it. It inserts the timer tag you choose and, when you click Check deck, reads that presentation's slide text and speaker notes to list its tags. It makes no outside requests and stores nothing.

What is stored

Your extension settings (sounds, keys, styles), a sound file if you pick your own, and a Pro license key if you buy one. They are kept in your browser's extension storage (settings sync through your browser's own sync, if you use it). Uninstalling Chimelark removes them.

Payments

If you buy Chimelark Pro, the purchase happens on Gumroad, our payment provider. When you activate a key, the extension asks once for permission to contact Gumroad and sends it only your license key, to confirm it is valid. Gumroad's privacy policy covers your purchase.

What Chimelark never does

No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no remote code, and no selling or sharing of data with anyone.
