Christmas Trivia for Seniors: Free Printable Quiz

This free Christmas quiz for seniors leans on the Christmases most of us remember: Nat King Cole and Brenda Lee on the radio, Ralphie and his Red Ryder BB gun, Bob Hope introducing "Silver Bells." Christmas Trivia has 15 multiple-choice questions with three choices each, and every answer was checked against published sources.

Finish the Carol is a sing-along game: read the first line of 12 well-known carols and let the room sing or say the rest. All of the carols are more than a century old, so the words are familiar to almost everyone. Familiar songs often bring in people who are quiet during other games, which makes this a good choice for groups that include residents living with memory loss.

How activity directors use it

Run the quiz as a 30-minute team game: tables of three or four, one answer sheet per table, and a small treat for every table at the end. Read the question, read all three choices, and give people time. Use Finish the Carol to open or close the party: it needs no paper for the residents at all, just you and the first line. If you have a pianist or a playlist, let them pick up where the group leaves off.

Printing tip: when the print window opens, choose Actual size or 100% so the letters print as large as they were made (every letter is at least 16 point). Make as many copies as you need for your family, residents or group.
