Winter Trivia for Seniors, Free Printable Q&A
Fifteen winter trivia questions and a true-or-false round, in large print with answers. No holidays required, so it works any week from December to March.
These winter trivia questions for seniors cover the whole season without leaning on any one holiday: the first Winter Olympics, Dorothy Hamill's haircut, the Ice Bowl, the man who patented earmuffs, and the Minnesota town that calls itself the Icebox of the Nation. Winter Trivia has 15 multiple-choice questions; the True or False round has 10 quick statements, each with a short explanation on the answer page.
Every answer was checked against published sources. Print the questions large for the group, or keep one copy for the leader and play it out loud.
Pair it with our free winter word searches, or see the January activities guide for a month of winter ideas.
The printables
How activity directors use it
Winter trivia fits the long afternoons of January and February, when outings are canceled and visitors are fewer. Serve cocoa, play in tables, and use the true-or-false round as a quick opener. Many questions invite memories: who skated on a pond, who shoveled the walk before school, who remembers a big blizzard. Leave time for those stories.
Printing and sharing
Printing tip: when the print window opens, choose Actual size or 100% so the letters print as large as they were made (every letter is at least 16 point). Make as many copies as you need for your family, residents or group.
Newsletter editors: you are welcome to reprint these puzzles in a free senior center, library, church or community newsletter, as long as the credit line at the foot of the page stays on. Please don't sell them or post the PDF files elsewhere; link to this page instead. Want puzzles sized for your layout every issue? See free puzzles for your newsletter.
