Free Valentine's Day Word Search Printable, Large Print
Four free Valentine's Day puzzles in true large print: an easier word search, a harder one, a word scramble and a love-poem cryptogram. Every puzzle comes with its answer key.
Be My Valentine is a 13 x 13 large print Valentine's Day word search with 15 words (Cupid, roses, love letter, sweetheart) running across, down and diagonally but never backwards. Famous Couples is the harder one: a 15 x 15 grid of pairs everyone remembers, from Romeo and Juliet to Lucy and Desi, Fred and Ginger, Bogie and Bacall, and Johnny and June, hidden in every direction.
For variety there is a Sweet Nothings word scramble with a hint for every word, and a cryptogram that hides the famous first line of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's Sonnet 43. Print one, or download all eight pages in a single PDF.

How activity directors use it
The Famous Couples puzzle doubles as a party game: after the search, read out one name and let the room call back the partner. Ask the married couples in your group how they met, or who still has their first valentine. The cryptogram is a good choice for a puzzle club or a newsletter.
Printing and sharing
Printing tip: when the print window opens, choose Actual size or 100% so the letters print as large as they were made (every letter is at least 16 point). Make as many copies as you need for your family, residents or group.
Newsletter editors: you are welcome to reprint these puzzles in a free senior center, library, church or community newsletter, as long as the credit line at the foot of the page stays on. Please don't sell them or post the PDF files elsewhere; link to this page instead. Want puzzles sized for your layout every issue? See free puzzles for your newsletter.
