Keepstow Privacy Policy

Keepstow is a browser extension that saves web pages, PDFs, images, links and selected text to your own Google Drive. It has no servers and no user accounts of its own.

Google user data

When you connect Google Drive, Keepstow asks Google for one permission: access to the files Keepstow creates (the drive.file scope). With it, Keepstow creates a "Keepstow" folder in your Drive and uploads the items you choose to save. It cannot see, read or change any other file in your Drive. It also reads your Google account's email address to show which account is connected.

Your Google access token stays in your browser. Keepstow sends your data only to Google's own servers (googleapis.com), directly from your browser, and only when you ask it to save something. Keepstow never sends your Google data to us or to anyone else, never stores it on a server, never uses it for advertising and never sells it.

Keepstow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Web pages you save

When you save a page, Keepstow reads that page in your browser to make the PDF, Doc, copy or screenshot, and downloads the images or files you chose. The result goes only to your Google Drive.

What Keepstow stores

In your browser's extension storage: your connected account's email, the ID of your Keepstow folder, a count of this month's free saves and, if you bought Keepstow Unlimited, your license key. Uninstalling Keepstow removes them. To revoke Drive access at any time, click Disconnect in Keepstow's settings or visit your Google Account permissions.

Purchases

If you buy Keepstow Unlimited, the extension sends your license key to Gumroad, our payment provider, to confirm it is valid. Gumroad's privacy policy covers your purchase.

What Keepstow never does

No analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no selling or sharing of data with anyone.
