Plotfinch Terms of Service

1. The service

Plotfinch is a Google Sheets add-on. The free plan geocodes up to 100 rows per run. Plotfinch Pro, sold as a yearly subscription through Gumroad, adds unlimited rows per run, resuming stopped jobs, reverse geocoding and KML export.

2. Google's geocoding service and quotas

Lookups use Google's geocoding through Apps Script's built-in Maps service, under your own Google account and subject to Google's terms and daily quotas (about 1,000 lookups a day on a personal account and 10,000 on Google Workspace, as Google publishes them). We don't control those quotas or Google's results, and Google may change either. You agree to use the results in line with Google's terms.

3. Accuracy

Geocoding is approximate. Check the Accuracy column before relying on a result for anything that matters: deliveries, emergency services, legal boundaries, property records or safety decisions. Distances from PLOTFINCH_DISTANCE are straight-line (great-circle) distances, not travel distances.

4. Payment, renewal and refunds

Pro is billed yearly by Gumroad, which handles payment, renewal and cancellation. If Pro doesn't work for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of a charge and you will get it. When a subscription ends, Plotfinch returns to the free plan; your data stays in your spreadsheet.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Plotfinch to break the law, to get around Google's quotas or terms, or to track people without their consent.

6. No warranty; limit of liability

Plotfinch is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Plotfinch in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms and will post changes on this page. Continuing to use Plotfinch after a change means you accept it.
