250 Years Ago 2027 Wall Calendar

Two hundred fifty years ago, 1777 was the year the young United States learned it could win. This 2027 wall calendar follows that year month by month, 250 years later to the day.

Each month opens with a picture page: a public-domain painting, engraving or document from the period, and a large-print story of what happened that month in 1777, from Washington's victory at Princeton and the raid on Danbury to Saratoga and the march into Valley Forge. On the date grid, a red star marks 50 events on the exact day they happened: Brandywine on September 11, Burgoyne's surrender on October 17, Valley Forge on December 19, and more.
