Trimquill Privacy Policy

Effective: October 19, 2026. Publisher: Front Porch Puzzle Press ("we").

Trimquill is a Google Docs™ add-on that changes the case of text, finds and replaces many words at once, cleans up pasted text, and sets custom page sizes and margins. It runs entirely inside Google Apps Script under your Google account. We do not operate a server for Trimquill, and no document content is ever sent to us.

What Trimquill accesses

• The document you open it in, and only that document (Google scope documents.currentonly). Trimquill reads and edits that document only when you choose a command, and only the selected text or, if you choose "Whole document", the whole document.
• Your license key, if you buy Trimquill Pro, is sent to Gumroad's license API (api.gumroad.com) to confirm the purchase, when you activate it and about once a week after. Nothing else leaves Google.

What Trimquill stores

• Apps Script user properties, in your own Google account: your settings (title case style, ticked cleanups, find and replace options, page units), the find and replace lists and cleanup presets you save, and your license key.
• Nothing is stored in your document except the edits you ask for.

All of this lives in your Google account or your document. We cannot see it. Saved lists are deleted when you delete them in the sidebar or remove the add-on's access.

What we do not do

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no selling or sharing of data, no access to other files in your Drive, and no use of your content to train AI or machine-learning models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Trimquill's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing Trimquill

Uninstall it from Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons, and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
