Why did Google's "Save to Google Drive" extension stop working?
Google's own extension hasn't been updated since July 2025, and many people now get an "Access blocked: Authorization Error" when they try to use it. Keepstow is a separate, working extension that does the same job and more.
Can Keepstow see the rest of my Google Drive?
No. Keepstow only asks Google for access to the files it creates itself. It can't open, read or change anything else in your Drive.
Where do my saves go?
Into a folder called Keepstow in your Drive. You can rename it or move it anywhere and Keepstow keeps saving there.
What formats can I save a page in?
A clean PDF of the article (ads and menus removed, pictures kept), an editable Google Doc, an exact copy of the whole page (.mhtml), or a screenshot. You can also right-click to save images, linked files like PDFs, and selected text.
Does it work in Edge or Brave?
Yes. Keepstow works in Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers.
