Free Activity Calendar Template for Seniors

A posted activity calendar helps residents, families and staff know what is coming up. These free printable activity calendars are made to be read from a few feet away: the dates and weekday names are large and bold, and the boxes are big enough to write two or three lines in by hand.

Choose the blank monthly calendar if you want one template to use every month (fill in the month and the dates yourself), or the dated calendars for November 2026 through December 2027, with major U.S. holidays already marked. Every weekday and holiday date was checked by computer.

How activity directors use it

Print the calendar at 100% on Letter paper in landscape. Post one at the nurses' station or front desk, slide one under each door, and send a copy home with families or attach it to your newsletter. For memory care, a simpler calendar works better: one or two activities a day, the same activity at the same time each day, and the day's box highlighted in the morning.

Keep each day realistic. A plan with one group activity in the morning, one in the afternoon and a quiet option (a puzzle table, coloring, music) is easier to keep than a packed grid that changes daily. Our activities for assisted living residents article has ideas for every kind of slot.

Printing and sharing

Printing tip: when the print window opens, choose Actual size or 100% so the letters print as large as they were made (every letter is at least 16 point). Make as many copies as you need for your family, residents or group.
