Trimquill: text tools for Google Docs™

Change case, find and replace many words at once, clean up text pasted from PDFs and websites, and set any page size, from one sidebar. The everyday tools are free; Pro is one payment, no subscription.

What it does

Change case: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case (AP, APA, Chicago or MLA rules for small words), Sentence case and tOGGLE cASE. Acronyms and names like iPhone are kept, and bold, italic and links stay where they were.
Find and replace, many pairs at once: a table of find → replace pairs run in one pass, with a preview count, match case, whole words, keep the case of each match, and saved lists. Pro adds regular expressions and unlimited pairs.
Clean up pasted text: join lines a PDF broke apart, remove extra spaces, tabs, non-breaking spaces and empty paragraphs, and switch between smart and straight quotes. Pro adds invisible-character, dash and bullet cleanups and one-click presets.
Page size and margins: any size in inches or mm, presets for Letter, Legal, A4, A5 and the KDP paperback trims (5×8 to 8.5×11), with gutter margins worked out from your page count.

How it works

In Google Docs, select some text (or choose Whole document in the sidebar).
Use Extensions > Trimquill > Change case for a one-click change, or Open Trimquill for find and replace, cleanup and page size.
Preview shows what will change before anything does. Edit > Undo reverses it.

Free and Pro

Every case change, find and replace with up to 3 pairs and one saved list, the basic cleanups, and page size with the KDP presets are free. Trimquill Pro costs $12, paid once, and is bought from inside the add-on. There's no subscription and nothing renews.

Private by design

Trimquill can only see the document you're using it in, and your text never leaves Google Docs. The only outside request is checking a Pro license key with Gumroad. Read the privacy policy and terms.
